There are a couple of mistakes that will keep you fat, some that you might not even know about or even notice! There is only so much willpower that we have, some behaviours are extremely difficult to kick, and going cold turkey on them doesn’t always work out. Try and get rid of these habits with time.
Skipping Meals and Snacks.
Skipping meals messes with your body’s ability to control your appetite. It destroys your willpower, and by doing this the next meal you have will leave you starving and overeating. To break this habit, spread your calories into three meals, and two snacks. Each meal should be about 500 calories while the snacks are 100-200. By making this a routine, it’ll restrict and make you more conscious about overeating.
Speed eating is unhealthy in the way that it tricks your mind. By savouring the taste and allowing your body to take its time in digesting it, you will find that your body is quick to notify you that you’re full. Those who speed eat often find themselves fuller faster and cause themselves pain and indigestion. Savour the taste, make time to enjoy meals.
Over-Eating on Weekends.
Are weekends automatic cheat days? No. By pigging out on weekends and having a regular diet on weekdays, will mess up your system. Your body has a fantastic way of adapting to everything that you do. Your sleeping patterns, your eating patterns, it all gets used to it, and when you disrupt it that much, it doesn’t work well with imbalance. It’s definitely okay to have a cheat meal, but the whole weekend is not good.
Alcohol is the bane of exercise. Getting a good idea of how much you drink by writing it down is a good way to break this habit. Calculating the calories you consume through this and you’ll be off the stuff for good. It is a hard habit to break when you have friends who drink, but finding ways to have fun sober is a sign that your friends support you.
